Suppression of history and remembrance

An interactive narrative “Suppression of history and remembrance” (2016) produced by the Center for Transitional Justice SENSE, is dedicated to the destruction of cultural heritage during the wars in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo in the 1990s. Each narrative segment consists of an introductory section, a video report and a list of documents and a selection of evidence, with about 250 key documents, videos, and photographs. The interactive narrative “Suppression of history and remembrance” is divided into six segments: Dubrovnik Old Town, Sarajevo CIty Hall, Mostar Old Bridge, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Unprosecuted Cases.

News from the past: knowledge, ignorance, use and misuse of history

News from the past is a product of research conducted by the Belgrade Center for Human Rights within a project funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia. In the realization of the project, extensive public opinion polls were conducted on how citizens see the past (national and general history), themselves and others in it, as well as how prejudices and misinformation affect their judgment and decision-making today. The book contains texts that point to the results of research, people’s misconceptions about some historical events, the role of the media and the elite in the learning of history and the creation of delusions or dilemmas among citizens. “Rimtutituki”

The project of the anti-war campaign “Rimtutuitki” was created on the proposal of the Center for antiwar activity in the realization of rock bands – Ekatarina Velika, Elektricni Orgazam and Partibrejkersi in the spring of 1992. In street actions and protests (in an open truck) they circled the streets of Belgrade protesting against the war. The anti-war protest “Rimtutuitki” is marked with the song “Listen!” With the key verse “Peace, Brother, Peace”, whose Single was released by Radio B92 in about 2000 copies, with the agreement that it should not be found in any kind of sales.
